Pintastic Friday’s Home Hacks

It’s finally Friday and I’ve got some great home hacks on the blog for you today!  They are all from some of my favorite blogs and I can’t get over how talented these ladies are!

Let’s get started!

I love repurposing bottles like this!  I was in Target a while back and the bottle part of this lamp was $32!  And that didn’t even include the shade.  See how Rain on a Tin Roof made this adorable bottle lamp for much less.

Living in an apartment has its challenges.  Especially when maintenance workers decide to come in any day or time they want to “check” something and end up trailing dirt in after them.  What’s my favorite way to clean the carpet after they leave?  Check out House on the Way’s tutorial to find out!

I don’t know about you, but tapping out at 5 feet and an inch makes it really difficult to enjoy beautiful artwork in my home.  Especially when Chris and I aren’t sure of the correct height and end up hanging them way to high.  If you have that problem too, check out Mrs. Hines’ Class and her awesome picture hanging tutorial!

I am constantly struggling with picture storage on my computer.  The first problem is that we have four computers in our house and each one has way to many picture albums on them!  The second problem is that not all of them are labeled correctly and it’s hard to find certain items.  So what’s a girl to do?  Well, go to Modern Parents Messy Kids to find out the solution!

Have you ever gone to hang a picture frame or shelf and noticed that it has not one but two keyholes for wall mounting?  Every time I see one like that I get a sinking feeling in the pit of my stomach.  I almost always hang them crooked, even when I use my level!  So I was really grateful to find House on the Way’s easy how-to tutorial.  What a lifesaver!
